Remote Desktop Redesign
Problem statement:
How might we streamline a login solution to help enterprise users sign in quickly and securely?
Before
Large Financial Client* has a very secure login system that requires users to input their password + secure code 3 times.
Users complained that it was repetitive, wasted time, and hard to access where they were before locking their desktop.
Empathy Map
Here are examples of the empathy map created for the project based on user feedback through emails and a survey.
User Flow
Here is an example of the security user flow that users go through when logging into the corporate system.
A/B Testing
High fidelity wireframes were used to test
concepts.
10+ Usability tests showed insights that users
engaged with the new designs. 80% A/B Tests revealed
100% positive sentiment for new designs.
Next Steps:
Reducing friction
Based on user Feedback, we shipped these UI tweaks for increased accessibility and friction reduction.
Our iterations reduced password entry from 3 to 2 times, visually clarified open desktops and auto-logins, and referred to users last activity quickly.
